Resurrections

January 28, 2017 Shanil

What do I do?

When the sweet nectar

of your memory dissolves?

Into the ether,

into the caverns of forgetfulness,

where the senses starve

and only vague outlines survive.

When you only roam rare dreams,

leave my bones heavy,

through resurrections that remind me,

you were once everything ...

Yet the timbre of your voice

is beyond my grasp.
