Corners is a poem by Shani Samarakoonl that explores the issue of cultural and internal borders within ourselves, and the restraints it places upon our ability to live free.

This is a poem that was inspired by a moment while travelling through Malawi in Southern Africa. The country was in the midst of a fuel crisis at the time and while travelling from Blantyre to Lilongwe, we had to stop by the road side to fill fuel from a jerry can.
